Today was a sunny day, and I remembered that our basement have cool old windows. I thought, if the sun shines enough through those windows, the light can be really good down there. So I asked my girl, "you feeling up to do some photos in the basement?" And she was all ready to go.
I think she forgot the spiders there for a while, but when we had to do some cleaning up before the pictures, and they came out to say hello - she freaked out.
So, I went on a killing spree, poor little monster's.
Our props were a sheet and a curtain! Oh yeah, that's one hell of a beautiful dress. We had no extra lights, And there were very little use of flash.
Then it was point and shoot, kill a spider, point and shoot, kill one more spider, go to the other side of the room, check the light, change the ISO, check for spiders, point and shoot, kill a spider and so on!
All in all I'm happy with the photos, some more than others, so we probably have to get down there and do some more.... later....
And NO, we're not always serious! Even tho it can seem that way in my photos.
I don't think children always have to smile in pictures. It's just not my style of photography. I more than often tell my daughter not to look into the camera when I shoot her. I rather her being in her own mind or look distantly somewhere else.
But here's proof - she CAN smile. And she's really, a very happy kid who likes to play around a lot.
