20/52

A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014

For week 21 I'm giving you a different portrait than I usually do.
Now that summer is here, Sara loves running around bare feet. It reminds me so much of myself as a kid. As soon as the snow was gone,
you would rarely find me with shoes on.

So, here's one of the best signs of childhood and summer, dirty sleeping feet!

Some of my favorites from last week are

The beautiful bath scene over at Mother Down Under
The golden edition over at lille earth stories
This gorgeous portrait over at Blackberries and Rosemary
What a cool POV over at Wild and Grizzly
And this face, over at bluebirds of happiness

    1. lol. White linen is the only thing I have.
Love'em... So they just have to hang in there...

And nothing says summer like running around bare feet.

    1. My girl loves to shower.
Sometimes for as long as we have hot water.
But sometimes she climes to bed all dirty and smelling of summer.
I love it. The linen can always be washed later ;)

  12. i'll admit it..."NOT ON THE WHITE SHEETS!!!" was the first thing that crossed my mind. yes, the photo is great, has wonderful contrast and speaks volumes and i get it. but...realistically (as the one who does all the cleaning in my home and just can't seem to win the cleanliness battle against my 2 year old, landscaper husband, 2 giant and filthy dogs and 2 indoor/outdoor cats) this gives me a little bit of anxiety. eek! i know, i really need to get over that. i don't think i have a choice! ha :) -Misty

    1. White linens will always get dirty, one way or another...
That's why we have washers! (is that the right english word?)
As I mention above, Sara loves to shower. Sometimes for hours.
But I love that summersmell, of a somewhat dirty child!
And I only have white linens, for some reason ;)

  13. Perfect shot, my favorite of this week! Takes me straight back to the barefoot and fancy free days of childhood. The little feet are a bit smaller in my house but I so love when they are full of dirt and sand, skipping and dancing all around :) xx

    1. Yes it is. And it feels so good :)
If I could, I probably would live in a place where there is summer all year round.
      Maybe one day.
